The Gummy Shark takes its name from its flat grinding teeth that look more like "gums" than the sharp slicers people associate with sharks. Gummies are adapted to eat crabs, lobsters, shrimp and other shellfish. They are a delicacy for humans in Australia and their numbers are dwindling fast from overfishing.
